Alkmaar is within an hour’s drive from Schiphol international airport, near Amsterdam. Schiphol has flight connections to almost all major European airports. From some destinations you will find budget airlines that fly to Eindhoven airport or Rotterdam/The Hague airport. Both airports are a bit further away from Alkmaar but are still within easy reach.

- By public transport
Schiphol has its own train station. From Eindhoven and Rotterdam/The Hague airports, you first take a bus to respectively Eindhoven Central Station (bus 400 or 401) or Rotterdam Central Station (bus 33). Coming to The Netherlands by train
